NH2 Tollway:

Varanasi-Aurangabad

India

Awarded in 2010, this toll project involves expanding the Varanasi-Aurangabad section (length 192.40 km) of the NH-2 in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to 6 lanes under the design, build, finance, operate, transfer mechanism. The concession period of the project is 30 years. ROADIS has a 50% stake in the project.

The concession is a section of the Delhi – Kolkata highway, connecting the towns of Aurangabad, in Bihar, and Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from the importance of Varanasi as one of the main pilgrimage centers in India, the area is surrounded by coal and sand mining factories that generate significant commercial traffic.
